The Cletech M5C is a vertically oriented outdoor totem enclosure, designed to house high-brightness displays ranging from 43" to 75". Unlike the M5B model, the M5C supports portrait orientation only and introduces a distinctive feature — an illuminated TAG panel positioned at the top of the structure. This illuminated section is customizable, allowing for branding, location names, or wayfinding labels, making it ideal for urban environments, smart cities, and public installations requiring high visibility.
The enclosure’s design offers a sleek and modern presence, with an IP56-rated body that ensures protection from rain, dust, and temperature extremes. The front surface is equipped with 8 mm extra clear tempered glass, with optional 4+4 mm laminated glass (IK10 rated) and anti-reflective or anti-glare coatings for optimal screen visibility. Maintenance is streamlined with a front-access, gas-spring-assisted service door, hidden hinges, and a dual-point locking system. The structure is built from galvanized steel, treated with zinc-based primer and outdoor-grade electrostatic powder paint, with an optional cataphoretic coating available for demanding environments.
Thermal Management, Integration Flexibility, and Interactivity
To ensure consistent performance in outdoor conditions, the M5C features a passive air intake system and dual EBM Papst exhaust fans for reliable heat extraction. An optional tangential air curtain fan can be added to release trapped warm air between the display and the front glass. Internally, glass wool insulation provides effective thermal buffering.
The enclosure is equipped with a 3-outlet surge-protected switched PDU as standard, with an optional 6-outlet version for more complex digital signage systems. The internal mounting frame is designed for easy integration of displays and includes a dedicated space for VESA-compatible mini PCs.
For touch-enabled applications, the M5C supports an optional PCAP touchscreen, offering up to 40 simultaneous touch points for responsive and intuitive interaction in public spaces.
